Major Justin "Mowgli" Gogel is a founding member of the Marine Corps' new Rapid Capabilities Office. Prior to that, Maj Gogel spent three years working on future concepts, rapid prototyping, and live-force experimentation at the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory. His specialties are concepts of operation for robotic and autonomous systems, future amphibious assault, robotic swarming employment, and the integration of artificial intelligence into Marine Corps operations. Prior to the Warfighting Lab, Maj Gogel flew as an F/A-18D Weapon Systems Operator with the "Hawks" of VMFA(AW)-533, out of Beaufort, SC. Maj Gogel is originally from Brooklyn, NY, and holds a BA in Political Science and Mandarin Chinese from Hunter College and an MA in International Relations from Webster University.
